Shining a Light on Our Students' Success

From dream to reality

“I’m passionate about creating solutions to real-world problems using AI and code.”
Amir Rahman
University: Singapore University of Technology and Design
Focus: Artificial Intelligence, Coding & Community Building
My name is Amir Rahman, and I am driven by the idea that technology — when applied thoughtfully — can solve real, meaningful problems.
My interest lies in building and applying AI models and code to address challenges beyond theory, with a focus on practicality, relevance, and impact. I enjoy exploring how technology can be used not just for innovation, but for improving how people live, learn, and connect.
Beyond technical work, I am equally passionate about community building. I hope to inspire young leaders by creating positive environments where like-minded individuals can meet, collaborate, and grow together. I believe that strong communities accelerate learning, sharpen ideas, and multiply impact.
As I prepare to begin my journey at SUTD, I look forward to deepening my technical skills while contributing to a culture of collaboration, leadership, and purposeful innovation.
“I’m passionate about supporting youths in their social impact journey.”
Kee Zhen Xian
Focus: Youth Development & Social Impact
My name is Kee Zhen Xian, and I am deeply passionate about supporting young people as they explore their role in creating positive social impact.
I believe that meaningful change starts when youths are given the space, guidance, and confidence to understand themselves and the communities around them. My interest lies in helping youths navigate their personal growth while encouraging them to contribute thoughtfully and responsibly to society.
Through my journey, I’ve come to value purpose-driven work, collaboration, and long-term impact over quick results. I’m motivated by conversations, initiatives, and environments that empower young people to turn intention into action.
I look forward to continuing this journey — learning, contributing, and supporting others who are equally committed to making a difference.
“The conversation gave me clarity and a deeper understanding of what meaningful education guidance looks like.”
Zi Yin
Year 1, Business
Nanyang Technological University
I would like to sincerely thanks Mr. Freddie for taking the time to meet with me and share his insights. Our conversation was thoughtful and genuinely eye-opening, giving me a clearer understanding of the education consulting industry.
What stood out to me most was learning that his motivation comes from helping students achieve their dreams. It was inspiring to see how his work directly and positively shapes students’ futures. I was also impressed by how he tailors different guidance approaches based on each student’s background and needs, ensuring that every student receives a personalised and thoughtful academic pathway.
His advice on continuous improvement and lifelong learning left a strong impression on me. The guidance I received was both practical and encouraging, and I truly appreciated the time and care he put into our discussion.
I am grateful for the support and look forward to learning more from his experience and perspective in the future.
“I chose NUS because it combines academic rigor with an environment that supports long-term growth.”
- Yao Shunyu
Programme: Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
Hello everyone! My name is Yao Shunyu, but most people call me SY. I will be starting my Law studies at the National University of Singapore, and I am excited to take this next step.
I chose NUS Law for its strong academic foundation, structured legal training, and emphasis on critical thinking. The programme is known for developing not only legal knowledge, but also clarity in reasoning, discipline, and professional responsibility — qualities that are essential in the legal field.
Beyond academics, NUS stood out to me as a place that values balance and personal development. Outside of my studies, I enjoy playing musical instruments — especially the guitar — and I appreciate being in a university environment that encourages students to grow both intellectually and personally.
Overall, NUS felt like the right fit: challenging, grounded, and forward-looking. I am looking forward to learning alongside a diverse and driven community as I begin this new chapter.
